HI! My name is Megan, and I am a travel agent/ blogger who focuses on alternative travel. From ghost stories to navigating traveling abroad, my journey will take you off the beaten path to find the gems in a new place.

A little about me:

All my life, I have loved traveling. I have traveled the world and picked up a few tricks along the way. Going on adventures is what lights up my life and gives me purpose. The spark started from the road trips around California and the western United States. Stopping at roadside attractions and seeing things that I could have never dreamed of. Being from Southern California and currently residing in Washington State, I have found myself in a new environment to explore. Did you know Bremerton, WA has a Krampus Festival every year?! I certainly didn’t until I moved here! I hope to explore more and now share it with the world of people who are just like me.

Why Alt Travel?

I chose to call my business Alt Girl Will Travel because I identify as someone who is not exactly “mainstream”. From spooky adventures to a love of the mysterious, I chose to create a company for the less conventional. Not just in lifestyle, but also in travel style. Do you like to stand in line for hours in a crowded museum while everyone crams in to see some wonder of the world? Me either! (Although if it's worth it, I will.) Why not take a walking tour instead, or visit a local business off the beaten path? I am here to guide and create an unforgettable experience.
